Continuing along the house of the future, let's talk about some future kitchen technology.
Back in the day, they thought our kitchens would be WAAAAAAAY further advanced than they are today. I found a you tube video to check out. It also includes more about the Monsanto house:

These videos make me LOL. I don't know about YOU, but I'm ALWAYS that dressed up when I'M in the kitchen. Also, I randomly break out in song and dance.

I like the idea of the knork, a knife and fork combination following the same concept as a spork, but just as the spork doesn't work that well I don't think the knork would either. I'm mostly worried I'd cut my mouth with the knife edge or something. Also, I really want the darth vader toaster.

Okay so I think that the ONE TOUCH CAN OPENER would be a nice thing to have around houses. It would make the small hassle of opening canned goods and other canned items go away. So I would most defiantly want this around my house, maybe enough for the whole family, Idk.

I like the toaster with the flip down griddle you could quickly fix a meal and be out the door.

I like the Manic Miner Heat chaning mug. I thought that that would be a cool gift to give or recieve since i am an avid coffee lover :)i think it would be helpful in knowing when or when not to try to sip something. ;)

I think the Fingerprint Recognizing Espresso Machine is really cool. Everyone in my house loves coffee, and the machine can make your coffee the way you want it by reading your fingerprint. I think it's so awesome! And easier than having to do it yourself every day.

I liked the vodoo knife holder, cause it seemed preety cool and it could hold the knifes. cool idea!

Personally I like knifes so the coolest gaget for me is theCardsharp – On the Cutting Edge. A Card that ends up as a knife. Its a great way not to get caught with a weapon if you get pulled over.

the knife sharpener is pretty cool in my opinion. i like it because the knifes at my house are dull and its hard to cut my foos aoo i would like that if i had a knife sharpener. also whats not to like about sharp knifes

I thought the drop down "cold zones" in the Monsanto house were neat, until the narrator said "one zone for regular refrigeration, one for frozen, and one for IRRADIATIED FOODS." You just can't beat IRRADIATED GOODNESS.
In addition I really don't want to wait forever for the shelves to drop down so I can grab one thing out of it. I mean, you just don't want to expose yourself to that irradiated food any longer than you have to.

My life is now complete there is a toaster for your computer. That is fantastic that is they most important thing toast with your morning facebook habits. This has to be the randomest thing ever inveted. The toaster goes into the disk drive CRAZY RIGHT.

I like the under counter ipad dock because I can hide it from my little nephews. Because I have parents that believe that little kids should have everything they want. So with it I could hide my ipad on there.

I like the Waffle/Omelet Maker. I really like to cook but have never been able to make omelets so I think this is really cool. I also really like waffles so that's another plus. I would definitely buy this.

I like the cold shelves idea. Because a fridge takes up so much space that having it the cabinets would just be handy.

I love the Only Omelet and Waffle Maker because it would be very helpful for busy families. In most households breakfast can be a hectic time and making these two meals can be very messy. I like this because you won't have to bring out the pots and pans to make these simples meals.

This is a stove that wont become just because you are cooking. The only place the stove is hot is under the pan so if you accidently brush the stove you dont have to worry anymore. I think this is GENIUS especially if you have kids. Love it!

I think the saw cake cutter is cool. Yes, its a very odd way to cut a cake but its better than getting it all over your hands with just a knife. It would be a more conveniant way to cut cake.

I like the toast strip stamper because i like my food in small bits also i dont like biting my bread i like to tear it into small pieces so this is perfect simple yet very useful ^.^

Chocolate printer. Need I say more? You can create your chocolate sculpture and eat it too! I think I would have a lot of fun with this making things out of different kinds of chocolate and experimenting with how elaborate this could get. It would be useful to make different swirly, not-so-3D choclolate pieces for fancy cakes too I would think. Like the ones you see stuck in the tops of cake on cake competition shows.

I really like the idea of the Manic Miner Heat Changing Mug. It lights up images when hot liquids are added to it. It gives almost a futuristic feel to the space I guess.

Okay so I'm looking at this "knork" thing and although the idea of it is useful, the actual application seems a bit...sketchy. Is it really all that safe to eat off of something used to cut your food? Im kinda worried about my mouth now

I really like the Heat Chaning Mugs :) They are sush a good idea, and I've seem so many cute designs with this same idea in mind. They aren't really necessary but very entertaining in the morning!

Being someone who likes to know what i'm putting down my throat, a nutrition scale like the one on the website (http://www.coolest-gadgets.com/category/home-gadgets/kitchen/) would be amazing. Though I am still not exactly sure how the science works, the site says it can instantly measure levels of calcium, magnesium, and potassium. This invention is certainly a revolutionary device in the nutrition/diet world.

I think that Cipher Drinking cups is really amazing because it shows & tells you what you are drinking in case your at a party, and can't seem to tell what's what. It show's a name on the cup with the name such as lemonade which I think is pretty cool

I like the light up drinking glasses that let you know what your drinking, like lets say your drinking milk on the cup it would say milk. Defintely a good idea when you have company over and you don't remember where you left your drink.

I like the switl spatula. It can make cleaning so much easier. Like when little kids get ketchup and drop it you can use it easily.

I think the Kettle Pizza seems like a cool gadget. You're having a party in your backyard and you decide to start grilling, you can do it! But you can also make a couple of pizzas at the same time without having to go inside to cook it. Now you have steak, hamburgers, hotdogs, grilled chicken, porkchops, and pizza cooking outside. Sounds like a good food party to me...

I think that the "Knork" is pretty cool. I've seen lots of utensil hybrids for camping and things, and I've always thought that they're great. I appreciate that it's ergonomically designed. If it weren't it'd be pretty lame and useless.

I think the Knork is a pretty nifty invention. Rather than worry about having a a knife and fork in your hand you can have both in one single object. I think it's awesome!

I love the popcorn grabber. It's supposed to limit the popcorn intake. It's hillarious and not very affective. People these days will grow impatient and drop that tool immediately.

The Bobble Jug seemed interesting to me because it purifies tap water as you pour it in your cup. Instead of getting a expensive purifier you simply buy a bobble jug and not have to worry about drinking non-purified water.

i think the knork is just a big brother to the spork. i also think the ppl who came up with this second idea was just lazy and just wanted a quick way to make a buck. what they should do is have one end a spoon or fork and the other end a knife but on the knife end have a saftey cover over it

i like the boble jug its nice, and its clean for the enviroment also its been recycle, and it can be use for these people that cant get a hold of clean water so they can use the boble jug to clean their water, its up to 150 liters of water that it can clean!

SieMatic Grid S2 is a multimedia cabinet for the kitchen
I like the idea that you can watch TV. videos, and even listen to your ipod all while cooking. This would most definitely make cooking more entertaining. However, my only worry would be getting distracted from the grid and all its features and messing up my meal, but I think I can handle it.

With the the Frozen Fruit Soft Serve Prcessor i could make as much yougurt aas i want with my favorite fruits!!!! Imagine, a bowel of mango-strawberry yougurt. I would love to have this because it would be a great way to get your furit serving in a a natrual and cool way everday. pLus you dont have to add perservatives or other sugers. I wouldnt be looking fat anymore...

I think that the Handpresso is a nice thing to have nd its cool because what if you are in a hurry and you forget to make your coffee well your can be in your car and make it there on your way to work or school so you dont have to stop somewhere. :)

i really like the Rotato Express because it automatically peels potatoes, fruits and other vegetables in seconds. you just put a potato on bottom spike and lower the top spike. Then, push the button to start peeling – automatically stops when complete. Skin peels off in one continuous piece. COOL HUHH!!!!

i think the food scale is stupid. there is like not really a point for it. they could upgrade it and tell more about the food that you are eating if it was a modern computer device or something. i think it would be pretty much useless.
i also really like the fry slicer! super cool...but would make us all fatter haha

This is so cool! This would make my mornings so much easier. I could just set my eggs to cook put this in the water and listen to my favorite songs while chiling on the couch.
I like the the one touch opener because i am super lazy and would die if i had to open it myself.

Oh my gee. That would be amazing. It would be the pinacle of father's day gifts. I would love to have this. I would eat toast everyday all day long. I like it because well...it's Darth Vader toast- I don't see how it's possible to not like it. Though I am worried about if it would burn the toast

I think that the clean cut paper towel dispenser is the perfect thing for a lazy person such as myself, all you have to do is move your hand a bit and it cuts and spits out a paper towel for you!
