Big thanks to Kolten K this week for providing some blog sites for me regarding transportation. He will get an extra grade for this! Are you jealous? You can do the same thing.
For credit this week, pick a story listed below and tell us which one. And then tell us something interesting and factual about this story. This one is NOT an opinion blog. You must do some ACTUAL reading. Read today, post Thursday.

I picked the Terrafugia Transition. This is a roadable aircraft that can reach speeds up to 73 mph on the road! I can even be adapted to drive on highways when needed.

i picked the Glasair aircraft beacuse i like the fact it can fly like a plan also used as a car that you drive on the road and the top speed is 75 mph

I chose the Nororot robotic vehicle. It can climb stairs itself by using a sensor to detect when to climb the next stair. I thin it would be reall useful for old people.

I picked the nororot robotic vehicle stair climbing wheelchairs. I think this would be very effective because this would help people in wheelchair get around a lot easier.

I picked the "Smart Highway." This is a special highway that adapts to traffic conditions and provide motorists with valuable feedback. The most interesting feature of this highway to me is the Glow in the dark. It’s a road that uses luminescent paint that absorbs sunlight during the day and glows for up to ten hours at night to increase visibility and reduce the need for conventional road lighting.

I picked the NOROROT robotic vehicle it can proximity sensor to detect when it is next to a step and is able to maintain a level posture.

“Smart Highway.” It’s a roadway that incorporates a suite of interactive technologies that adapt to traffic conditions. the smart road will also have five new technologies.

definently going with the hellicopter. but it would have to be smaller. i would chose it though because i get to pocket the gas money. but i think they should make it where two people make it fly so i can make them do more of the work.
I chose the smart highway. In theory there will be a lane that if you drive on it your electric car will charge while driving.

I picked the "Smart Highways" because i think that hgihways that glow in the dark is one of the best thinks ive heard of.. It will help people see better and we wouldnt need lights on the side of the road.. Swagg?

The smart glow highway is seriously the coolest thing ever. driving on the highway is so boring and VERY DANGEROUS because of all the traffic. With the smart glow in the dark highway, it helps people see the road better and it also lets you know when their is ice on the road.

im picking the plane driven conversion kit, the kit can be added to an existing Glasair Sportsman GS-2 light aircraft, so it could be a highway compatible trike when it has to be :D

I like the NOROROT. mainly because it climbs the stairs!! I like how it has a sensor that tells the chair when to go up the stairs, it could be very useful to the old people...they need all the help that they can get!!

I like the smart roads. The idea of a glow in the dark road could help people like me see better while driving at night.
The Terrafugia Transition it can travel over 200 road miles on one tank of gas, thats neat also i can travel up to 73 mph on road and it flies as well.

I picked the "Smart Highways" . It’s a roadway that incorporates a suite of interactive technologies that adapt to traffic conditions and provide motorists with valuable feedback. It has many different features such as "Glow in the dark Road" , "Induction Priorty Lane", "Interactive Light" and "Wind Light". Gives the road some "Spice" instead of it just being there.

I chose the "Smart Highways" ,because it has the potential to make travel safer. One of the things I find intresting is these roads have “Dynamic Paint” that is temperature sensitive. This is really cool because when temperatures drop enough to create hazards like black ice, it becomes visible and reveals warning symbols on the road. It might also be sort of weird in other ways such as "Interactive Lights" comeing on as you reach them.

I pick the Smart Highway, “Glow-in-the-Dark Road." This uses luminescent paint that absorbs sunlight during the day and glows up to 10 hrs at night.

I pickede the smart highway. It is intresting that they wish to implament the road it's self as a charger for electric cars.and i'am suprised that the excpected date of the implamiton is so close comparred to many ideas I've seenin this class.

I picked the "Smart HIghways" because they are kinda amazing. i mean honestly i could see those things being really helpful and end up saving ablot of people. it can warn people about the weather... maybe now cray cray drivers wont be all "oh i didnt realize that there was ice on the road" lies cause the road was telling you that there was!!! also it "uses luminescent paint that absorbs sunlight during the day and glows for up to ten hours at night to increase visibility and reduce the need for conventional road lighting" good lord this thing can do everything!

I picked the smart highway because it is straight up swag. When the road is regular temperature the road is trasparent, but when there is ice on the road the road shows warnings, and that is crazy swag.

The smart highway is a cool idea. The dynamic paint that is temperature sensitive will be transparent when is hot and as it cool it lights up.

Glasair Sportsman GS-2 can be flown in the air or driven on the road. I thought that was pretty cool. Id love to drive one minute and fly the next.
Howard 7th
i choose the smart highway technology. the fact that the roads change to have the warning and hazard signs is rather interesting. and also the fact that the roads will do something rather than just lie there all the time.
untiedt, 7th
I believe the smart highway would be a fascinating new idea. It will guide drivers safely and for those who have electric cars it will even recharge the car while its driving!
Manuel Vazquez, 7th
I pick the Smart Highway. One aspect of the Smart Highway is the "dynamic paint." Dynamic paint is trasnparent under normal weather conditions, but when weather creates hazordous conditions such as black ice, the paint becomes visible and reveals warning symbols.

the smart highways seem pretty cool since they will have glow in the dark lines that would help you see without light... they also have some other stuff to save energy nd thats what is cool about this smart highways

I picked the smart highway's Induction Priority Lane
it helps recharge your car as you drive over the coil embedded road.
Reyes, 7th
I think that the Smart Highways are an awesome idea. They can be useful in so many ways. Like for instance, they have special paint that only appears in a certain temperatures to let drives know if there is possibly black ice on the road.
the smart highways will make the roads a safer place since it can warn people of ice on the road and help us see at night

i choose the "smart highway". the glow in the dark one will help you see at night by using a type of paint.
the terrafugia transition "road worthy aircraft" is nice it has a top speed of 73 mph and a power to weight ratio of a 1965 vw beetle

The article that I chose was the smart highways! This is soooo cool cause at night the road glows in the dark due to the paint and it has wind light which is when the air from your car passes to make street lights come on!

I picked the Smart Highway and it has a glow in the dark road that uses luminescent paint that absorbs sunlight during the day and glows for ten hours at night to increase visibility and reduce the need for conventional road lighting.

I picked the Smart Highways. It consists of five different technologies that we will see in the next five years. My favorite aspect of this concept is the “Glow-in-the-Dark Road” that would use luminescent paint that absorbs sunlight during the day and glows for up to ten hours at night to increase visibility and reduce the need for conventional road lighting.

i chose the Atlas helicopter beacause the Gamera II broke through the crucial 60-second barrier stipulated by the prize that Atlas took flight for the first time, for a total of "about 4 seconds."The efforts of Maryland University's Gamera II team in snaring the US$250,000 Sikorsky Prize for human-powered helicopter flight have garnered much attention in recent months, and with good reason.

i picked the article titled: smart highways..
Basically designers thought that a road should do more than just "sit there" sooo, they give roads PIZAZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s a roadway that incorporates a suite of interactive technologies that adapt to traffic conditions and provide motorists with valuable feedback.
There's glow in the dark, interactive light, wind light, and induction priority lane.

I chose the “roadable aircraft”. The plane can go up to 73 mph on the road and it can reportedly travel over 200 road miles on one tank of gas.
I picked the "Smart Highway" article. Its interesting because there's one road with paint that absorbs the sun and at night the paint glows, so it helps drivers see clearly on the darkest roads.
