People tend to keep cell phones for only two years, and Je-Hyun Kim’s Natural Year Phone concept takes that into consideration. The phone is designed to naturally biodegrade after the two years are up. 
A pop-up phone! Ilshat Garipov's "Kambala" is a fascinating concept that features a center piece that can pop out to fit into your ear, making it an earphone. In theory, it will also have the ability to match your skin tone, rendering it almost invisible. 
At first glance, this entrant into Fujitsu's cell phone design contest looks like an ordinary paperweight. Actually, it's a cleverly disguised phone. As the picture shows, the small black dot can be transformed into a keypad, media panel or web browser depending on what corner of the plastic handset you drag it to. 
Emir Rifat's "Packet" phone won first place at the Istanbul Design Week 2007. The tiny phone starts off at 5 cm square, then folds out as needed for different functions. 
Designed by Seunghan Song, this "window phone" concept will reflect current weather conditions on the screen. To input text, you just blow on the screen to switch modes, then write with your finger as a stylus.

I don't like the grass looking phone because is ugly and looks like some illegal plant.
i like the window's phone cuz it looks legit :) i can seriously see myself owning that phone.
I cant picture any of these phones being used. But the biodegradable is only cool because it falls apart then you know its time for a new one. At the same time its kinda dumb because what if you cant go buy a phone every two years, itll just fall apart and youll have nothing.
I think the grass phone is stupid because if you are a person who keeps the phone for 5 years then you will waste money on replacing every two years. I do like the foldable phone because you can easily put it away anywhere.
I like the last phone..."window phone". I like this phone because it looks modern, but it's like the next step up of modern. i like how it doesn't show the electronicla wires in the back, although, i would probably break this on the first day.
I think the glass pebble looking dish soap phone looks cool but I don't think I would use it. I'd rather just use a computer or an iphone.
I like the first one which can naturally biodegrade. I don't focus a lot on the appearance (i think it's ok though), but i do hope the sense of touch will be good. I'm also curious about how the battery decomposed.

the only phone i really like is Emir Rifat's "Packet" phone because ive never seen a clear phone like that...but i dont like that grass phone becuase in 2 years its gone start to crumble up..pretty crazy to me
I like the "window phone" because i like the whole design and concept of the phone. I could see myself using this phone but i could also see myself easily breaking this phone also.

I think the first one is quite stupid. The frame of that phone is coarse and ugly. I think those......grass, on the phone, may come off, and they will bge everywhere in my room.
I really like the window phone. It looks like it could catch everybodies eye. It looks like a peice of glass. I think its very up to date but my brother would probably break it and it wouldnt last very long with me.
I also think the idea of the biodegradable phone is goofy because you know there are parts and pieces inside that are plastic and silicone and will NEVER biodegrade. So while the outside might return to dust, the inside never will.
Also? It looks like a direct phone line to your drug dealer. IJS.

The paperweight looks like an interesting phone. Way more advanced than some of the other phones. The Natural Year Phone looks unbelievably stupid! Why would someone want a phone that falls apart a little bit every day? Honestly, that's just idiotic.

I think the "bio-gradable" phone is a stupid idea, honestly. What if you decide that you want to keep your phone? And also, I don't think it'd be water proof and it'd be prone to much damage (ex. dropping it, throwing it, ect.) It's also not that attractive.

The grass phone seems stupid to me because i think it would make your ear ichy when you use it. And my favorite phone is definately the foldable phone. Because it's cool that everytime you unfold it it adds a different function.

I definitely dig the Seunghan Song "window phone" because the design is very simple and it just looks unique and interesting. It makes the iphone look BORING. The only problem with this phone is, it is super thin and if you drop it then theres a 99.9% chance that phone is BROKEN. I would love to see some kind of Otterbox type cover for a phone like this.

I think the ash tray phone is really dumb. I cant see why anyone would buy it. A phone is often put in your pocket and suppose to be portable. And also if you dropped this phone, it would shatter. Stupid Idea
I dont like the grass phone because for people who have a habbit of dropping their phones or getting them wet, like me, seems like it wouldnt last long. It also seems like it would shed all over the place and get grass every where. Also who would want to talk into itchy grass everyday, not me. The only thing cool about this phone is the fact that it's biodegradable, but even though the phones biodegradable what happens to the wires and all the stuff that makes the phone work? Is that biodegradable too?

I really like the paper weight phone. It's really nice that you can only see the phone when you look at it from a certain angle, so I could see this being used in class to trick alot of teachers.

The phone design that I like the most is Je-Hyun Kim's Natural Year Phone for the following reasons:
1.Out of all the designs, it's the one that looks the most like a "standard" or "regular" cell phone
2.It is the one that is the most economic and environmentally friendly
3. It's green! :-)
the window phone looks so COOOOOL! it's like taking the iphone to the next level. i bet you can easily lose the phone if it was turn off, but it looks too fragile and it might be cracked if handle too much
i liked the sunshine window phone mostly coz you can see throught it and i think it would be easy to take around.

I Think The Je-Hyun Kim’s Natural Year Phone is pretty stupid.Besides the fact thats its ugly! Why would you care or even pay for a phone thats only gonna last you for 2 years??..Not worth it..anyway thats my opinion.
