Blog 16 - January 28, 2014

Hola Peeps! Read. My. Words.

Today I want to tell you a little secret . . .

There's this THING that happens every year in January in Las Vegas. It's huge. It's called CES = Consumer Electronics Show. Every piece of electronics technology that we use has debuted at this show in the past. Think about that for a second. That iPhone in your pocket? Yep. Apple showed it off there. That flat-panel TV in your living room at home. Yep, that too. It's a HUGE deal in the electronics world and a gogillion (well maybe that's an overestimate) people converge on Las Vegas every year to take a look at the newest electronic innovations.

So go take a look and see what CES is about. For credit this week tell me if you'd want to go (or not) and why. That's TWO things: Would you go? Why or why not? Read today, blog Thursday.  CLEARLY if you want to go to CES the reason is to see emerging technology. PLEASE BE MORE SPECIFIC!!!! Which technology are you most interested in?

Talk to me . . .

I would go to CES to see all of the world's leaders in technology. They say that there were going to be 36,206 international visitors and 14,237 CEO's and leaders. It would be cool to see what is going on technology-wise in other countries, and to see what the leaders and CEO's of technology companies are thinking for new gadgets here.

I would love to go to the CES show. Specifically, I want to see the Audi that has the self pilot. I am not sure I would trust it 100%, but it would be cool to play with sometime. Also, it is interesting to see what technological things have came to us this year. Not only that, but it wouold be pretty cool to see what is expecting to come in the future.

I would like to go to CES because, specifically, I am most curious about video game technology. I saw on one of the websites that they're developing a treadmill-like machine that will let you play first-person shooters by mimicking the actions of the player character (running, looking around, aiming, etc.) Now imagine if Crytek games used that kind of tech...

I would definitley go to CES becasue i would be able to see all of the new gaming products up close. Like the PS4 that will be able to stream PS2 and PS3 games. Or all of the new PC gaming items; like the Oculus Rift or the new Alienware that you can put on your tv.

I would definitely enjoy attending CES specifically because I would love to see the new advancements that Samsung has to offer with it different products. I know that if I went that it would, without a doubt, be worth my time, just because Samsung products, in my opinion, are exetremely reliable and never disappoint me whatsoever. Here are a few products that I am interested in, the Ultra HD 4K TVs, Galaxy NotePro and TabPro, ATIV Book9 and One7, NX30 and WB smart cameras.

I wouldn't want to go to CES. I'm into electronics, just not enough to go to a show. I'm the type of person to look into it on the internet if I'm just REALLY interested in the product. The shows just seem too much for me.

I would go to CES to witness new technologys and actually listen to the makers explain the technology behind it. Technology is advancing very quickly and what you see one year may dramatically change the next. Like Vizio's tv that blew away its competition.(Kadence 2nd Period)

After reading about the CES convention, I feel that i owuld like to personally attend this convention to see what great electronics the world's technology leaders have in store for us. The kinds of things i would love to see are what new flatscreen tv are available because im fan of watching sports on giant tv's, so I was more than happy to see that Samsung has a 120 inch flat screen tv. Now that's a great tv! I would aslo be interested to see what new phones are coming soon like how AT&T have a smartphone that can now also be intergrated with a docking station to become a tablet. So in general, I would love to go to CES so that i could glance and see all the new innovations that are in store for the nearby future.

I would like to go to the CES show to see all different types of technological devices. If was to go, i would love to see and buy the Flir One Thermal Imaging Case for my iPhone 5S. This phone case detecas any kind of smoke or fire from up to a distance of 100 meters, but it only lasts up to two hours of continual use. This case costs $350 which is too expensive but i would like to buy it if it was to be cheaper.

There are many reasons I would like to go to CES, but there is one very serious, game-changing reason I would certainly NOT go to CES: I am cripplingly, absolutely, deploringly lazy. To be blatantly honest, going to CES would entail putting up my laptop, getting off my recliner, and getting dressed to go talk to people, which I will aboslutely not do. Not my cup of tea, per se.

I would love to go to CES. I would want to go there mostly for the new gaming concepts and versions. This year there has been a huge advance in gaming innovations and I would love to be qable to see it in person. One thing is the Eureka gaming that allows you to be in complete simulation.

I would LOVE to go to CES and see what's new in technology, not only here in the United States, but also in other countries. Especially new gaming technologies and cool toys. Hanging out with some of the biggest nerds from around the world sound like something that I would absolutely enjoy. Not to mention how fun it would be to play around with robots, games, computers and everything else that was there, it just sounds like way too much fun.

I would love to see all the cool gagets! Especially the Eureka Park stuff. Its basically every now and odd concepts people come up with and have made into prototypes. There are really cool things that would greatly benefit the medical community, such as a bracelet that moniters glugose levels.
