Ah Yanko, how we love thee. Don't forget the "Inspire Me!" button at the bottom of the page.

First off, I must say, I'm seeing alot of people that seem to be inspired by the Olympic Bonfire.
Here we have the Makeshift Bonfire. Its is 3 stick that you put together, and they light up. NO MORE FIRE HAZZARD. Boo.

Then we have the Kodak 1881 – Pocket Sized Digital Camera by Lindsey Pickett. Its a mini cammera that (in the pic) u can wear around your neck. Its a really prettly peice of non-jewelry. It may look old fashioned, but dont be decived. Its really high tech. You can even open it to view you digital pics and videos.

Here is a gift that I would give and woman in my family (and possibly my friends(and mybe my teachers)). Its the Webble Active Footrest. Its a foot messager, specially designed not to ever hurt you. No pinch or too much pressure. And its heated, how much better can it get,

"Mua was designed with lovers in mind. The organic shape invokes the idea of two people intertwined, embracing each other.Mua dangles from a tree suspended for all voyeurs to see and at the perfect angle – looks like a giant heart shaped pendant. " ...There is no other way to put it, that is one cool looking hammock XD. it even fols in on itself so that its doesnt get ruind in teh rain ^^

Las its the digital hourglass. It has a motion and balace sensor, like the iPhone, that makes it so that you can turn it over and all that pixelated sand "falls" to the other side.

GUM DISPOSAL DONE RIGHT

ITS A CREATIVE DESIGN TO THROW GUM AWAY... TEACHERS CAN PUT THIS IN THEIR CLASSROOM AND THAT WOULD SOLVE THE PROBLEM OF STUDENTS STICKING GUM UNDER TABLES THE DESIGN OF IT IS COOL THEY HAVE STICKY PAPER AT THE BOTTOM OF IT YOU PUT THE GUM ON THE PAPER PULL IT OFF BALL IT UP AND PLACE IT IN THE TEMPORARY STORAGE...

I like the front wheel drive idea, although I feel that this kind of technology is still a ways off, this might be able to work with more physics calculated in the design.

New Meaning To Front Wheel Drive,

The Thrice Screwed lightbulb design is Amaaaaaaaaaaazing!!! I love the shape it makes, because it looks like an upside down mickey mouse. LOL!! The other great thing is all the different colors it can come in. Also the glowing paper money is cool. I would love to see how much money I have at all times of the day. Lastly it is very eye-catching.

HOLY CRAP!!!!! 3DS!!!!! I WANT IT!! AAAAA!!!

There were a couple of products that I noticed on yanko, but the one that caught my attention is the Hershey Kiss shaped thingy that keeps compact disks upright. AWESOME. I have scratched many a CD because they just pile up on my dresser because I am too lazy to put them in the CD case...this object would be really useful for me. BUT, then people would wonder why I just had my CDs all laying on opened Hershey Kisses. They can just keep wondering, I just hope they don't eat them. Their inards would become very painful...

Deckard, D-3 said...

THOSE FILTERING WATER BOBBLES ARE FREAKING AWESOME.LOL They are very colorful and transparent at the sametime. Whoever designed it knows how to pull in customers.

I think the digital boxing device is really cool

So...since i'm a soccer player, and i found something soccer-related, i have to blog about it. They're the Umbro Centipax indoor soccer shoes. Basically, they mimic the centipede's body design and spread out the weight distribution of the wearer more evenly over the space of the footprint. Umbro makes some really rad stuff and i've had a couple pairs of their cleats, they're generally Tejin Microfiber and always pretty durable...they have TPU injected outsoles which make them really great on pretty much any surface. I would definitely like to try these bad boys out. haha

I really like the Kodak Camera with the 360 display protector around it. It's basically a hard cover over the lens. One reason i think this is a good product is, one i've had very bad luck with camera screens breaking! Second i think it would save alot of people money from either having to ship it off or go and buy a new camera.

Okay, I love this website.

I love the different teas for a different day. I don't know if its unamerican of me but I don't like coffee, so the tea is great for me. Also the tights that are designed to help pain while running is a really good idea. Think about all the injuries that could have been prevented.

Also being an avid book reader, with many (and by that I mean too many) books on the shelf in my room it would be convenient to have the notch in the top of the pages to allow easy access to books that are on the shelf. The notch in all the top pages and cover would really come in hand for me.

I guess the Petvision is Cool. If i had a sneaky little puppy. I like to know where he is if hes lost so thats really cool, but i dont know if i would be intrested in and seeing my dog dig a hole or other stuff like that.

I like the idea of 'Express yourself musically' on Yanko. Found via the 'Inspire Me' button. It allows the user to translate his/her movements into techno-trance sounds. I don't know about the rest of you, but I totally dig techno-trance.

I liked the one about the gum that came in a container that has a place for your used gum. That way you dont get gum stuck to the seat of your car or hair. It also has a paper dispenser to cover the used gum.

man i didnt know that they had 3d video games the world makes so many thing two bad cant afford everything they makeand the coffe cup thing that is so i dont know what 2 say i think it is a waste of time

I think the "front wheel drive" TAA car is reallllly cool.it may've been thought up for older people but hey,i'd drive it.it does have a retro look to it,but i wouldnt mind having it..its really cool.who wouldnt want a car that only had wheels in the from and it hovered in the back? whats not cool about that?
I was also looking, and next year when im a junior,im taking cosmo, which im very much interested in,and there's a "tubular" salon.it's really cool! i honestly hope to have my own salon and,if not, have a salon to look just like the tubular salon.its tripping me out because of how amazing it is! and its very well organized, which would help with my O.C.D (:

i like the Zero Angle digital camera. the LCD is like a hard cover over the lens that you flip 360 degrees to oopen up and use.the iweb 2.0 is a laptop that has a foldable keyboard. when its closed it looks like a normal laptop but when you open it you can unfold the keyboard and get a regular keyboard.

Morrison,K-1 said...

I find the dog shaped bookholders reallyyyy cute. Yanko, our most beloved friend indeed! See you pull the "dog's" tail and it lights up and is really neat. http://www.yankodesign.com/2008/10/27/the-pets-of-our-future-robot-overlords/

I find the clam safe an interesting thought as well. Just bury you're belongings when you go for a swim, but knowing me I would forget where I buried it and spend the night diggingto try and find it again. http://www.yankodesign.com/2009/05/27/buried-treasure-for-real/

Just look at that and tell me if you're not drooling...that thing is beautiful. I want it. now. It's practically an iPhone on steroids. The only flaw I see is the slide out keyboard looks very fragile and almost too thin to use.

I just found one thingy, it was uber neat-o! “Lampad’air.” This is soooo cool-io! http://www.yankodesign.com/2009/08/13/da-balloon-light/

So yanko was down when i tried to get on it, but dont worry i found something sparkly and new anyway...its called the Honda's U3-X or something like that, and basically its a cross between a unicycle and a segway AND yet another opportunity for humans to trade in walking a block for sitting on their largely expanding bottoms and taking the easy way out. Seriously, we dont need another reason not to exercise. Pretty soon we wont have to walk anywhere. You want a soda...why take that extra exhausting effort to walk to the fridge when you can RIDE to the fridge and exert no effort at all? We as humans are getting so LAZY...and its only going to get worse.

http://www.newscientist.com/article/mg20627542.000-picking-our-brains-can-we-make-a-conscious-machine.html

Here it looks like they are playing God and trying to create a TRUE AI....Lol :P Sounds cool, but I don't see it being possible without some newfound "alien" technology..

The Stocking Watch is a total beast!! Like seriously, who does not want a watch that has multiple circles hypnotizing you? Well, if you’re ADD like me, then that’s the most coolest watch ever~ I’d probably just buy it because it has awesome circles xDD

mayfield,s-1 said...

the flip flop mouse is really cool .i think it would be really fun to have somthing like that and the back not flat looks kinda uncomfortable.

Patton,A-1 said...

the interactive boxing thing is awesome. i woulud love to have that in my room and have somethin to take my aggressiona out on. the watch with the circles is cool but i would never know time it was because its cofusing at which is hours and which is minutes. its still a cool watch

The idea that I really like is the Front Wheel Drive....I think its reasonable for it to work...

That solar pebble is pretty smart thinking, but not so much as to when someone is mowing the lawn. There goes a good 100 bucks out the window. Also what is the deal with everything going 3-D!! Its annoying! Its gonna be as big a fail as plasma screen tv's. We never did fix them. Personally I prefer HD like that new Aquos tv which I found a link too provided underneath.

http://www.lcdtvbuyingguide.com/lcdtvreviews/sharp-20-lcd.shtml

Its cool.

Here are my thoughts (for what they're worth):

I am *so* digging that Grow Me A Sculpture thingy. Yes I know it's not technology related, but it sure is pretty. If only I could grow things successfully. This is why Mr. L always takes care of the plants at our house. That sculpture wouldn't look nearly as nice with brown stuff hanging off of it.

The flip flop mouse for people with disability who can't use their arms (or maybe don't have them) is ingenious.

Those running tights already exist from a company called 2XU. They're extremely expensive. They are supposed to keep your ligaments and tendons align in order to protect your knees. Can you imagine running in those when it's 100° outside? Yeah, me either.

I'm sooooo buying Mr. L that cologne that comes in the carpenters level thingy. He would definitely LOL.

Lanham said...

Oh, and the chick ironing in her bra cracks me up. Yes guys, that what all us girls do. Just wait till you get married. Your wife will iron your clothes everyday. In her bra. *BER*

Whatev, dude.

When looking through all of the awesome new designs on the Yanko site, i found something that caught my eco friendly eye. The light up Round Recycling Bin is an awesome device!
Now when i go to my awesome parties, which i dont actually do, i dont have to use a trash can to waste recyclables! i can just recycle my stuff into an awesomely cool round rolling bin!
Indeed this device is cool and could come in handy in a place like a high school when thinking of recycling, i hope this device comes out soon and is affordable!

There are so many things to chose from on this site, I could just blog for hours but...I won't :)
The Interactiv' Boxing really caught my eye. Although, I'm not a boxer this gadget could be used to improve your boxing skills or even just be a great work out. It's nothing too complex, it just hangs on the wall and has around 5 circles on it, that light up with your preferred program. It's just a fun tool that I had never thought of...I wonder if they could make a soccer one ;)

--Happy National Barefoot Day!!

Omg a FlipFlop Mouse now that is pure genius if you ask me. it's a new way to play with the computer. I bet all the girls would want one since they are always wearing flip flops to school. lol

villanueva,f-2 said...

the Flip Flop Mouse is really cool its designed for those who have upper limbs disability and cannot use their hands to move the mouse. they would put the mouse on as a flip flop and be ale to use the computer

while searching for 3d tech in yanko i came across a 3D MacBook its look just like every other laptop but it has stereoscopic iSight cameras, a touchscreen trackpad and a hingeless design sounds good to me already.

Grow ye a Sculpture thing is so so so pretty. It just looks so natural, I would love to just have it sitting like next to a pretty bookshelf, a comfty chair, and a cozy blanket.

I could be an interior designer, guys.

Well this was a good week for Yanko. There was a ton of cool, useful stuff. I thought the idea of glow-in-the-dark money was quite helpful. You know I can never count out my money correctly when I'm in a cab...however often that happens. I also really like the three-pronged lightbulbs and, of course, the Nintendo DS with the giant screen. THat's pretty much awesome. So when are they actually gonna make a 3D video game you can hold in your hand?

perry, w - 3 said...

wow the back not flat chair is really awesome i would spend mostly all my time relaxing my vabck in this chair everyday only if they design another part for you to carry it around. me personally i think this week blog was off the chain

The Spooning the yogurt design is so nasty and unsanatary becacause people are going to be touching the top of it...

Flynn,R-3 said...

Yanko has some pretty awesome stuff, but how about those filtering water bottles... No, but seriously, that is a pretty innovative creation.

Padilla, J - 3 said...

I love the idea of the needle that helps threading the thread through much easier. It always takes me FOREVER to get the thread through the small hole and the new needle would be so much more efficient. The growing sculpture made out of moss also looks cool, but it could totally grow into just a weird sculpture that would just be ugly in someone's living room.

I think I would have a world with the cube it I like to try and figure out why somethings just do not work like why I cannot blink myself out of class for me birthday lol

The flip flop mouse is clean i just dont c whats different bout it an the regula mouse theres no upgrades except for the design

T-Williams said...

I'm going to blog about the "flip-flop mouse". Its a computer mouse that can be turned over and you can use your foot to work it. It was invented for people with upper paralyzation but still want to use a computer. I think this is a very good idea and should be sold in stores.

Asquith,C-3 said...

I thought the design for the toe mouse was pretty interesting....it was designed mainly to provide a way for disabled people to navigate a computer easily. It would probably take some getting used to though.

cortes, j - 3 said...

i dont do 3D very often, but the bobble water bottle sounds cool, it filters your water awsome

Harper, T - 3 said...

i thought the design for the coffee cup with out the handle was interesting. that you can have a coffee cup thats not to hot for you to hold

Garza, G-4 said...

That 360 camera that has a flipping
screen that protects the lens and screen when you flip it closed, and to turn it on you just flip it in the other direction to see the screen and see through the lens. this way both objects remain scratch-free when not in use.

i like the Enchanting Folding-out Laptop With Utopian Specs because it has a really big keyboard... with this laptop it wont be hard to type anymore :)

Sooo...I went to the website that Sarah (Robinson) blogged about this week...and the Honda-making-people-into-meat-puppets thing is so hilariously bad. Sarah's totally right about how lazy people are getting, this idea (while sparkly) is ridiculous.

ok so yeah i think yanko is my new wish list site...i totally want one of those braille rubiks cubes...they have the colors written in braile and it's the easy 3x3...maybe i'm just a nerd...also that easy needle would be a life saver for hand quilters who have bad eyesight...one thing that can drive you crazy is trying to thread a needle and the thread won't cooperate...there was a steam punk desktop series i saw on here that was wood and brass and fully functional...i loved how beautiful it was...it would so look good in my room!! >.<

Morones, C - 4 said...

.....3..DS.....?
first they think its unfair to have commercials left out in the
3D halla-balloo going around but now it is simply (nessesary?) to have children to be able to take that stroke-spurred madness where ever you can possibly take it.
this is where we get brain-damaged kids from! 'irregularties'(thats how they spell it) caused by video games made by brain-damaged adults.

Since we are talkin about 3D technology, i came across this 3D Laptop on yanko, it seems now that pretty much everyhting is 3D now so why not computers?? It's pretty cool how we're moving forward and dont have to go to 3D theatres anymore for that kind of experience. That could only make you ask one question...whats next, 3D iPad??? ha

Wilson, J - 6 said...

Oh my goodness.I never would have thought that handheld devices would have gone 3d. the nintendo ds 3d is actually 3d. Now I want one!

Miller, R - 6 said...

im digging the Enchanting Folding-out Laptop With Utopian Specs
its preett neat how you unfold your labtop.... the downfall is that the keyboard looks like its twice a big and thats a turn off for me... but you know me just because its new and not that many folks that i know will have it I HAVE TO GET IT....how E.V.I.L. is that.....mmmmmmmmmmaaaaaaaaaahahahahaha(THATS MY EVIL LAUGH)just to let u know ms.L

Castellanos, A - 6 said...

I think that the cube for the blind is very innovative and thoughtful. Being able to see and using the colors is already time consuming but for people who are blind, it creates a new challenge for them.

Vinther,T-2 said...

I thought the toe mouse was a great idea. I wonder what impact this would have for gaming. Maybe you could combine the regular mouse and toe mouse to create different movements?

Gonzalez, M - 6 said...

well, the "never get a scratch on the lenses or LCD" idea... smart but its impossible you'll "never" get a scratch on your camera
