This week I want to do something that we will do several times throughout the year. I want to look at *sparkly* new technology. I have a favorite site for this:

Follow these instructions:

4. Pick a product and tell me WHY you like it or how you think it could change our lives.
Here are a couple of entries for example:
Page 79. Braille credit card. This is something I've never thought of. How does a blind person know which credit card they're using? What a fantastic idea.
Page 467. Honey I left it on the toast. Are you kidding me? I could leave Mr. L notes on his toast in the morning! "Please pick up milk." Ohhhhhh, he'd love that. I'm so in for this one!
This is a DISCUSSION. I want opinions with reasons!!! If you can't give me that much effort, then I can't give you enough effort to type a 100 in your grade book!
P.S. You will occasionally find something that is adult-oriented / not particularly school appropriate. Pick another page and keep moving.

Pg 437: There's an SMS and Email pen that lets you just write on any paper and then circle the person's name you want to send it to. It would be helpful because you could send messages even if you couldn't have your phone out, and you could also use it as a pen.

The dog pod Is really great! Because i see my dog always trying to mess up his little bed then sleep on it.. so that would be a great bed for the dogs or whatever that do that.

I saw an iPhone cover that had slits in it that were able to hold things like pens, credit cards, notes, or small things like that. It would make my life easier because I wouldn't have to carry multiple things separately. Carrying a purse sometimes gets in the way, so this would lighten the load.

The was "Inspired" by the disposible wine plastic Chandelier on page 437. THis little invention looks great and would be a great decoration for a college
student room. ha for when they have partyies and drink all night....ha... the dico ball of a party. What is that too much for parents??? It's very interesting, ifi would of purchased it i would just stare at it like a lava lamp...dont jugde me....

I found a clock that casts shadows on the wall as it's hands. There is no practical use for it but it is nice to see a fresh idea in a machine nearly half a millenium old.

Page 491: I found the Phonograph CD Player. Awesome!! Don't see any buttons though, guess you have to play through it or manually jump around like on a record to find tracks.

I landed on page 76 and I liked The Power of Footsteps an idea for a traffic light that takes the energy of people walking on the sidewalk and harnesses it. Thats frickin cool I think...

on page 220 there was a cool headphones that are suppose to hear everything. uhmm they are pretty cool they are wireless and they also i think its like these little ear muff thing that you put on your head then they are then hearing everything once on.

The roulette table has to be one of the most useless things i have ever seen. The concept is to be able to pull up a roulette wheel on your table. I really want to know a good use for this table? I do know for a fact there isn't a good one.

i landed on page 444 and am looking at a Persian Puzzle. it is a persian rug that is a puzzle. i think that that is SUPER stupid. it is just like not even logical. that would be a total waste of money.

The One Person Band is a really cool idea because it is a lot easier than having many different devices to create and produce music on. It also has new innovative technology that will make tasks like these more entertaining. I'd DEFINITELY buy it!

I landed on page 28 and I saw "Turn tap for USB power". I think this device is somewhat cool because you can turn it like a faucet to turn it on from an outlet to charge your electronics. However, i think its also kind of a waste of money do to the fact that its rather pointless if you have the wall charger for your devices.

music is a HUGE part in the life of a teenager..if you dont like music your weird...well i landed on page 321 where there is this laptop looking thing that has a piano were the keyboard is at...its a musical device that has all kinds of multiple musicical instuments
i believe this is something DJs all over the world would use.....even tho it didnt have much info on the little paragraph...bt still seems awesome

The Bio Robot Refrigerator is pretty cool because you don't have to open the door every time you want to put something in it or take it out. It also is cool that you can just stick your food in the gel and you don't get the gel all over you.

Okay there is a portable sonogram! WHAT?! That is soo um weird. You can look at your baby..ANYWHERE!Its a good idea..but I dont know why you'd want to check on the baby when you're waiting to check out at wal mart?? I would freak the freak out if I saw some lady doing that behind me.

The Key To My Memory was interesting to me because I like the way the USB is shaped like a key it shows how the technology is advanced and sometimes they add different shapes to the technology we use like USB and I really think you couldn't lose a USB that is shaped like a key.

this product has a barcode that tells & dissolves the bars in it as the product (mainly vegetables) goes less and less fresh. When the bars dissapear that means it has to be thrown out.I guess that would be pretty useful

This thing is wonderful! It will make storing things in a small apartment kitchen much easier, plus you could grow herbs up in the top bit rather than taking up precious balcony space with oodles of potted plants. The only downside would be that I would probably whack my head on it.
And small children running through a row of them would be good for the worry-making, all of a sudden you hear "*whack whack whack whack* ow"...pahaha

The hand map for the blind on page 91, I think has serious potential. This single device could dramitacally improve the lives of the blind and end their wories of constantly banging thier head on some random object. Radar and similar techknowlogy these days are deffinately powerful enough to consult the blind of thier enironment and, in a way, give them back thier sight. Sure it would be expensive, but if you were blind wouldnt you consider the money worht it?

The Braille E-Book translates books to Braille for the blind. This would be terrific for the blind and wouldn't hold back the blind from reading books that they want.

On page 223, there is a new type of dock for your music playing device, not only does it look stinkin' cool but it also has a LED projector in the middle of the circle near the top that projects nature like pictures(such as clouds or water etc) which sounds pretty awesome. It also seems extremely soothing as well, depending on which type of music you listen to it with. I would say explosions in the sky but that is just me. I think it would be even cooler if you could upload more pictures on it then have it project them.

Landed on page 144. The "paper to pencil, just like that" blew my mind. It is so obsurd. It turns used paper into a pencil... I mean it can be useful for the really green, recycle everything type people, but that's just strange.

This thing is absolutely amazing! I like designing huses, and the kitchen has always been a pain in the butt because there are certain appliances you can't get around that are clunky and in the way. Having a microwave as a drawer underneath the countertop would make so much sense. It has all the necessary features of a good microwave plus some extras, not to mention a sleek modern design that I love.

I found a future computer design by Jakub Záhoř, and if the name isn't interesting enough for you the design certainly is. The consept is that you lay the "computer" on any peice of glass and the computer scans it for size then progects a touch screen on the glass, just don't punch the screen when you get mad lol. This thing would be so awsome to have for me because it's so portable, though if it went into mass production I would bet money some briliant guy is going to start charging for glass space.

I found a really useful little gadget on page 196 on Yanko called Weight2Go. I think this would be really useful if you're the kind of person who has to take a lot of flights. I know that airports charge so much per bag and then an extra fee if you go over their specified weight so having something like this would enable the user to have less of those fees if they weighed their bags before heading to the airport and made sure that everything was at or below the limit. It'd be a lot easier to check things yourself rather than be surprised by the extra fee.

Regretably I failed to obtain the page number on my last post so here is another. Page 315 the Honda Hovercar. Yes they finaly did it, they made a flying car. Who wouldn't want this thing, apparently it actually works, but it's probably to expensive to mass produce yet, still it does look rediculously awesome.

Pg. 492, I think the health concious phone is pretty cool because you can track your health and nutrition. People can hold you accountable for your goals. And it has technology that can smell and recognize foods and it will say periodically what food groups you're missing.

Amphibious kick scooter - pg 536
The design of this particular scooter is pretty crafty to me. Its a regular kick scooter on land, and become a sort of propeller in water. I have to wonder how you ride that on water though........
I think that this idea would be an interesting toy to have. i am not too certain as to what it would be IMPORTANT for though.

On page 154 i like the projector camera smiley face because it can be a projector or video camera and its cute it has a smile for a microphone.

On page 39, I saw that there was this table called the mesmerizing table and it as exactly what it is. The table responds to hot and cold weather and gives the illusion that the flat tiered sections are warping. Another thing I noticed on this page, was that Apple has finally done it again. They've evolved so much with touchscreen technology that they decided to produce a clock which contains one giant app that can go navigate and configurate intuitively.

Well I think drinking out of a slanted bottle is a good idea cause you when you drink from the normal bottle then the water that is still left over has some germs in it. If you know what im talking about. :) Im not trying to gross any out but its sometimes true!

Use your water twice idea seems pretty tight, cuz these days shortage of water is getting much worse..Who wants to save water? I personally would not want this toilet, because I am not use to things like it because it seems nasty, and there is no filter for it.You would be flushing the toilet with bath water, water you wash your hands with, or anything else that goes into the sink or bath tub!!!!!

PG 12 - The See Saw Toast
Who wouldn't want this!? I'd love not having to get the hot toast out of my toaster. It's too much of a hassle our days. No one wants to get up and get the toast so why not have the toaster put it on your plate for you. Plus, the design gives a more modernized look to your home. Technology just gets better and better.

I like the rolling bookshelf. I think it would be cool to be able to roll to my favorite book instead of having to get a chair to reach for the book. I think that is the coolest thing for books. Yeah I know I'm kind of a geek right now but that would help with jobs for when they need a certain book of notes. Or having a rolling file cabinet.

On Pg.310 I found the Buried Treasure Foreal. It's a small tan colored container used to be hidden while at the beach in order to be safe from beach burglars and later found by the rightfull owner with a tracking device.

I like this idea of a robot printing road signs because I find it funny of how lazy people actually are, but in all honesty its a good idea and the person would really make some money for making it
